High Style Makeover for a North End New Traditional Haven Home by Minor Details

Since 2001, Scott Neste of Minor Details has been creating hundreds of fabulous and creative residential and commercial spaces. Located in Tacoma, Washington, he has teamed up with local designers, artists and builders of the Tacoma Design Collective to create artful details and beautiful crafted pieces. Scott began designing at the young age of just 5. His method of designing is distinct in that he loves to see the progression of each design as well as his clients. He is passionate about using amazing design to communicate in creative and unique ways.

Among Scott’s various projects, we absolutely fell in love with the recent first floor renovation of this stunning North End Traditional home overlooking the Puget Sound.  As very progressive local heroes, the clients desired a home embodying exceptional style and comfort. Creating a design with traditional references with fresh twists to fit this vision, Scott was able to execute a makeover to fit their requests that included luxe fabrics, texture and tonal palettes to give a light spaces with spurts of drama where needed. Join us below to see some more of the details!

Minor Details Dining Room

A custom Rosewood dining table with black accents pair together beautifully. A fire place facade provides warmth to the room.

Entryway

This entrance way is given a beautiful facelift combining neutral benches with a large plum rug and mosaic drum pendant.

Living Room Design

Every home needs comfort and this living room does just that. Plush furniture in neutral tones among white cabinetry and windows provide a refreshing and comforting ambiance.

Sitting Area

Distinct furniture contrast, patterns, and texture fill this seating area with creativity and wonder.

Living Room Design

Elegance and comfort blend seamlessly together in this living area. A grand piano sits among a wonderful listening space of relaxation.

Many artful details were included by local artists including Scott Neste and Mindy Barker. Exceptional woodwork craftsmanship was seen by Madera Woodworking through the beautiful rosewood dining table, fireplace facade and faux finished library cabinets.

We hope you enjoyed this haven of comfort and elegance as much as we did! Want to see more of this home? Be sure to head on over to his portfolio to see more! Scott Neste also has his own online shop. If you like his taste, feel free to hop on over to shop his style.
