Chicago Interior Designer, Erica Lugbill Reinvents Downtown Chicago Loft

Chicago interior designer, Erica Lugbill of Lugbill Design is a designer who truly has a passion for design and aesthetic. Starting Lugbill Designs in 2010, Erica has given her all into the company and has seen her company grow into a profitable and notable company. In 2011, Erica began doing off-camera design consulting for HGTV and now aspires to have her own design show.  To lead her in that direction, Erica has recently partnered with a media company to begin filming.

Today we’re taking a closer look at a fantastic Chicago loft that is full of personality. This loft is one of our favorites because it incorporates many different styles yet maintains a unique cohesiveness. Full of natural lighting and materials, the home uses earth tones throughout to keep the vibe light and airy.

Cherry wood cabinetry was used to give a rich earth base for the kitchen. Glass title with a subtle pattern gives texture without overdoing it.

The ebony stained wood floor and the white trim gives a dynamic contrast. Gray and beige along with modern color tones pull the look together. The patterned curtains give added height to the space.

Kept simple and minimal, the dining area is accompanied by a wired-framed mirror for dramatic effect. Orange chairs and white simple drum shade add an unexpected look.

The artwork in this room, was from a local Chicago artist. Bold pops of orange and red throughout the space give an urban yet relaxed and chic feel. The artwork includes personal photos which also act as a focal point.

Our favorite part of this image is the Greek side table. The textured pattern on the table and light mint green lamp are the perfect complement to the light-hued bed.

Warm and inviting, the bed is an ivory silk that features custom navy pillows. The look is pulled together with accent curtains.

The espresso cabinetry on this kitchen is absolutely stunning! We love the mosaic black splash along with the gray slabs of quartz counter top.

What did you think of this Chicago loft? We love how Erica was able to completely redefine this loft into a design bursting with life. There’s definitely more to this project! See more here in her portfolio and many others! Be sure to let us know what you think in the comments below!

De Meza + Architecture Goes Colorful Modern in San Francisco Renovated Attic

Today on our blog, we’re spotlighting one of our favorite firms, De Meza + Architecture. This firm is well known for their impressive architecture around the world. Based in San Francisco, De Meza + Architecture’s style is modern, clean, and functional. Today we have the pleasure of bringing you an absolutely stunning home that is full of modern instances and pops of color. Located in San Francisco, this Daly Mansion truly underwent a transformation. The attic was once a 1895 Victorian Tower House that needed a complete renovation. With 2,000 square footage of space, the home boasts gorgeous views of the bay and city skyline.

San Francisco Home

One of the challenges that the firm faced was the complexity of the space. With various angles and walls, each room had to be designed accurately to make the most out of it.

De Meza + Architecture

This office space is perfect for a relaxing and uninterrupted work session. Clutter-free, the white and wood combination work well together.

De Meza + Architecture

Modern can often be misinterpreted as bland and simple. We love how De Meza was able to incorporate a great deal of color from the eye-catching wall art to the throw on the bed.

Another look at the bedroom shows the added color from the rock wall art. We love the patterned pillow on the bed by the way!

De Meza + Architecture

Perfect for lounging around in, this circular space boasts a beautiful view. Highlighted by a circular area rug, it completes the wood flooring.

San Francisco Home

Last but not least, the bathroom features fantastic lighting for showering, bathing, and getting ready. Our eye is on the mirror wall sconces that provide perfect morning prep illumination.
