A Buckinghamshire Country Retreat by Staffan Tollgard Design Group

This weeks getaway takes us to Buckinghamshire in south east England. This county of England is known for its open countryside, its stunning views of nature, and various historic houses still used as private homes. With the hustle and bustle of daily life we were taken aback by the tranquility of this country style home designed by UK based Staffan Tollgard Design Group. It seems we aren’t the only ones wishing to get away, musicians such as Andrew Fletcher from Depeche Mode, Noel Gallagher of Oasis, and Barry Gibb of the Bee Gees, have all owned homes in this beautiful county.

While a very traditional British facade on the outside, the inside is filled with wanderlust.

Strong Asian influences can be seen in both art and statues throughout the home.

The combination of blue and white jars and accessories, worldly wooden furniture, and traditional curtains and upholstery, create quite the living room area.

Mid Century Chinese Chinoiserie can be found throughout the home, and make a big impression in the master bedroom.

Talk about a desk with a view! Splashes of red, and the intricate details carved into this desk are spectacular.

This stately domed hallway offers a view of the idyllic  British countryside.

Hope you enjoyed the DS getaway of the week, make sure to like us on Facebook for daily inspiration.
